Though I have been considering giving it a try for a Ghostwalk one-off game. I have not tried a mummy, zombie, wight or lich as a PC. Rather than custom rules I like to stay with official rules and just customize the flavor/description. Since you appear to be looking at classic undead types, I have a blog post on making FG versions of a traditional vampire for one of my players.
