I cleaned the metros by removing all of the dirty decomposed rubble all over the place, moved the trains in areas they might actually have been in during the war, it looks as if they emergency stopped and evacuated them, and I replaced all the old stuff with new stuff like toilets and nuka cola machines. In version 1.1 I have finished cleaning all the metros and am starting on a metro 2033 type city in metro central. Metro City plans to clean up the metros all over fallout 3, so far I have only cleaned 5.
